Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Berjaya Hospitality Group, we integrate sustainable practices into our operations while actively contributing to local communities. Our aim is to create an environmentally friendly and socially responsible experience, all for the betterment of our planet and the well-being of our guests and associates.

Here are some of our initiatives:

Going Strawless

Since 2018, all of our hotels and resorts worldwide have stopped providing plastic straws. Going strawless is a group-wide initiative, and all of our food and beverage outlets have discontinued the use of plastic straws. As an environmentally-friendly alternative, biodegradable paper straws will only be provided upon request by our guests. This change is aimed at minimising our environmental impact and supporting our marine conservation efforts. Our ultimate goal is to prevent single-use plastic items from polluting our beaches and oceans.

Switching to Glass Bottles

We have embarked on a journey to create a greener and more sustainable future by progressively phasing out plastic bottles from our hotels and resorts. Instead, we now serve drinking water in reusable glass bottles in our rooms and food and beverage outlets. By choosing to stay with us at Berjaya Hospitality Group, you're supporting our eco-friendly initiative and conserving the environment.

Environmental Conservation

Our hotels and resorts have been actively organising clean-up events to restore the beauty of our natural landscapes. This includes picking up litter and removing debris, both on land and in our oceans. Additionally, our island resorts have been organising clean-up days to raise awareness of marine conservation and highlight the importance of preserving our coral reefs. Through these initiatives, we have brought together a passionate community that shares a common goal: protecting and conserving our environment.
